Directions
From Sacramento go east on US 50 22 mi. to the East Bidwell Street- Scott Road exit. Turn left onto East Bidwell Street. Follow East Bidwell 2.0 mi. to Oak Ave. Parkway. Turn right on Oak Ave. Parkway. Drive past South Lexington Drive and turn right onto North Lexington Drive. At the "T" intersection at the end of the street turn left onto Prewitt Drive. Park at the end of the street near Oak Chan School. The trail is just beyond this parking area.

Notes: The Humbug-Willow Creek Parkway is the jewel of the Folsom Parks and Recreation Department. It follows two parallel creeks through relatively flat terrain. The area along these creeks has been preserved for nature and recreation trails, and habitat for plants and animals. Along this route you will see quail, ducks, egrets, and possibly a beaver in one of the many ponds along the creeks.

The trail is part of 150 miles of bike trails that are planned for the city of Folsom. The trail will be extended to connect with the western portion of the parkway in 2005. When completed there will be 11 miles of trails through the parkway.

There are numerous paved bike paths in this area with many more under construction. The route described below is only one of many possibilities. Because of the construction activity permanent landmarks are rare, and the route is described by distance as follows: (cumulative miles, miles from previous point). If you know how fast you skate, you can use time to judge the distance. For instance cruising along at 8 MPH you will travel 0.1 mi. every 45 seconds.
Notes
From the parking area at the end of Prewitt Drive use the sidewalk across the street from the school to avoid the rough paving between the parking area and the bike trail. The route begins on the bike trail just beyond the parking area.
