Directions
From U.S. 101 north of Palo Alto, take the University Avenue exit and follow it west for 2.5 miles until it reaches the Stanford University Oval, a grassy area encircled by the campus driveway called Palm Drive. Parking can be found along the Oval or on Sierra Street.
Notes
Join an informal group skate through the Stanford University campus and surrounding neighborhoods that takes place every Wednesday evening. Participants meet at the western end of University Avenue at the Oval's circular parking lot at 7:30 p.m. and follow the same seven-mile course every week, which offers a mix of challenging urban terrain suitable for skills ranging from mid-level to stair thrasher. The route hits some favorite campus play areas as well as some nearby streets. Staff from the local in-line specialty shop, Nuvo Colours in San Mateo, are usually present.
